To further consolidate their position as leading manufacturers in the automotive coil spring replacement market, King Springs have built a second factory complex adjoining their existing premises on the Gold Coast. The existing 2800 square metre building now houses new sales and administration offices, new research & development & workshop area, warehousing and new dual powder coating lines. The massive new 3200 square metre building has been purposed built for auto spring manufacturing. “As demand for our product has consistently increased, it was inevitable that we had to do this to best position ourselves for the future. We are now able to service our market customers with greater efficiency and look further a field for new business” explained Managing Director Mark King. With the expansion program comes a range of equipment advances including new state of the art coiling machines and furnaces designed and built in house to further enhance manufacturing capability and substantially increase productivity. “The new workshop and R & D section allows us to stay on the cutting edge of developing our product as soon as new vehicles are released” said Mark. Some recent vehicles that have had replacement springs developed at various heights are; BA Falcon, Ford Focus, Hyundai Getz, Kia Sorrento, Mazda 6,CG Lancer, WRX 03, Prado 03 and a range of 3”,4”,5” and 7” super lift springs for Nissan Patrols and Toyota Landcruisers. These additions and others are now part of the King Springs range of over 1200 part numbers. “We see our future as niche manufacturers in a global market and believe we can be very competitive at that level.” said Mark. |
